At the inception of Allelo, the space formerly housed Annata and Alto Mare, two cherished eateries in St. Petersburg. The objective was to merge these two establishments into a singular space that would captivate patrons even more.
The restaurant draws inspiration from diverse regions surrounding the Mediterranean and Aegean Seas, offering varied cuisines. Its name, derived from "allelomimesis," signifies the phenomenon of collective gatherings, akin to birds forming a flock. This notion of communal gathering permeates the menu, with dishes intended for sharing among friends.
Artist Annette Gloomis created the 16′ × 8′ mural adorning the space, contributing to Allelo’s distinctive ambiance.
